Wilderness Family Photos (Post 2 of 7) - Engagement Photos
Since I flew to Utah for Chantel's wedding, I feel like these photos pretty much qualify as engagement pictures rather than family pictures. Aren't they a lovely couple? She's beautiful, he's handsome and together they are always having fun. Actually for the family photoshoot we kind of stole Chantel's wedding colors, mostly because after trying on our bridal wear we were all really pleased with how flattering the colors were, so Chan, thanks for picking such great colors. I loved being able to be a part of their engagement festivities (and in a later post I'll include some from the beautiful wedding).

Wilderness Family Photos (Post 1 of 7) - Group Photo
I recently was able to travel home to Utah to participate in
my little sisters wedding. It was
awesome! I loved being able to see
my loved ones, visit familiar places, have a car, and enjoy the hot dry air. While I was there I was also
able to take photos of a few of my favorite people. There is a great little grassy area just of the Midvale
parkway that was the perfect scene for some family photos. For organizations sake I'm going to break this photo session up into multiple posts.
I love the color scheme they choose for their photos; mint, gray, and peach! They ended up being awesomely flattering colors.
Here are the family group shots:

Nature Preserve - 1 Year Old Baby Photography
Crazy to think I’ve known this little guy over a year! I
think he’s just about the most handsome nephew in the world. Kayla did a great job dressing him up
for our nature preserve session, however baby H wasn’t really in the mood to
have his photograph taken. It didn’t
help that it already felt like a million degrees, even in the early morning. Thank you August. Fortunately we were
able to appease the very boyish side of him and he was a lot happier when he
had some rocks to play with, go figure.

International Peace Garden - Maternity Photography
Wow, so It's been almost six months since my last post. Sorry about that, but life has been busy! Turns our we are expecting a baby of our own, Yay! My husband is just starting his PHD program at MIT, yay. So we got to move across the country, less yay with the stress of moving (we are almost settled into our new place and it's actually great).
Somehow during these past 6 months I have still managed to take a couple of photos. Now that things are settling down a little I have some time to add them to the blog.
Without further adieu...
This is my beautiful friend Brooke who was at the time expecting her first baby (the baby has since been born, is doing great, and is a number of months old) Brooke found this great place in Salt Lake called the Peace Garden for her photos (look it up, it's worth seeing) and between her and her husband it was a very entertaining photo shoot. They are just great and you'll see why.

Urban Photo Shoot - Model Photography
I got to spend part of this weekend with my little sister Chantel and somehow I convinced her it would be fun to do an urban photo shoot. Charlotte from Headstrong Make Up did her face and I made an attempt at her hair then off we went to the city.
I have been dying to do a photo shoot in the snow and it was *suppose* to snow all week but that didn’t happen and we ended up freezing cold while trying to snap a few picture in the pouring rain. In spite of the cloud cover, the freezing temperatures and the 15-minute photo shoot down a deserted ally, the images turned out great.
P.S. Doesn't she have the most amazing eyes?!

Barn & Truck - Model Photography
As you might be able to guess (since its January and these pictures show trees with leaves on them) these pictures are a little bit old. However, Kayla looks great and since I finally have a blog up I thought they were definitely worth posting.
